Many college students struggle with maintaining satisfactory academic progress (SAP). As a result, these students may lose eligibility for federal student aid, making it much more difficult for these students to persist. Even though the Department of Education has mandated SAP policies, institutions have considerable leeway to adjust policies and be proactive. This webinar will review federal SAP policies and provide guidance for how institutions can adjust SAP policies to better serve students and to ensure more students stay eligible for federal student aid and enrolled in school. After the webinar, professionals will better understand federal SAP policies, learn how to simplify SAP policies and communication, and establish strategies to help keep students eligible for federal student aid.
