As your student loan account transfers from the New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) to Trellis Company (Trellis), we’re here to serve you and make sure this transition happens smoothly.
Important Reminders for NHHEAF Borrowers
The federally mandated pause on student loan payments and a 0% interest rate are in effect until January 31, 2022. From now until that date:
- You don’t need to make any payments on your defaulted loan(s).
- You won’t be charged any interest between March 13, 2020, and January 31, 2022.
- You can still choose to make payments during this time, and any payments you make will go farther toward reducing your principal balance with Trellis.
