The recent protests, repeated incidents of police brutality, and senseless deaths of Black men and women have rendered everyday work increasingly burdensome for professionals of color supporting students in higher education. Coupled with the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on minoritized communities, higher education and community-based organization practitioners are overwhelmed and burned out. This workshop will explore the impact of first and second-hand trauma and anxiety and provide self-care and wellness strategies to survive during this time of heartache and trepidation.
